Spring is my favorite season. Not only because it’s the season when I was born (Aries Nation rise up) but it has so much symbolism coordinated with it. Spring is viewed as rebirth, new beginnings, love, fresh starts, hope, or if you don’t think any of those things when spring is mentioned, the pretty flowers are cool too. Here are 7 books that emulate the perfect spring vibe.

The Secret Garden is relative to spring because of the flowers and imagery of the garden, but also this overlying theme of renewal.
✿ Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery

This historical fiction piece follows young girl Cheyo Sakamoto as she moves from her small town to the big city to be a Geisha while living through The Depression Era in Japan. Memoirs of a Geisha correlates with spring because of the new beginnings in Cheyos life as well as the beautiful descriptors of the cherry blossom trees that bloom in Kyoto.
✿ Tom Lake by Ann Patchett
Lara Nelson retells the story of her young love and previous time working with now famous actor Peter Duke. The novels chapters jump from past to present which shapes the overarching theme that people live many different lives inside of their one. Lara is currently happily married to her husband Joe which tells the cute story of young love, married love, and that parents have different lives before their children are born.
✿ Check & Mate by Ali Hazelwood

This novel told in a then-now perspective, tells the story of Macy Sorensen and Elliot Petropoulos. These two childhood best friends meet years later in a coffee shop, Macy is engaged and feels nothing but anger towards Elliot, while he is above the moon to see her again.
